What is mis-fuel cover?

Mis-fuel is when an engine is contaminated with the incorrect fuel, for example if you put diesel into your petrol engine car.
The insurer will cover direct cost up to €500 to decontaminate the engine if the engine of the insured car is damaged or contaminated by the use of incorrect or substandard fuels.
This is Covered on Comprehensive AA Car Insurance policy and is not cover under Comprehensive AA Value or any AA Third Party Fire & Theft policies.
